 This Irish-operated local hangout is one of the few Atlantic City establishments to offer live bands. Duke Mack’s is separated into two distinct barrooms: the Lounge, where patrons can enjoy sit-down dining, numerous seating areas, live music and a dance floor; and the Pub, where patrons can enjoy two pool tables, a raw bar, booths, tables and TVs for sports watching. Live music and performance art occurs mostly on Saturday nights, but, during the summer, shows also take place Friday nights.
Duke Mack's is one of just two places in town to hear live original rock music (the other being the Erin Bar). The performance art varies and is often strange. The pub caters more toward the pool-hall crowd and offers Boardwalk seating at the bar during warmer months. Both rooms serve lunch and dinner from a full menu until about midnight, but the kitchen usually stays open for late-night snacks. Not a heavily patronized spot during the week, but we give them much credit for being a bastion of live, original music.
