 One of the most popular attractions on the famed Ocean City Boardwalk, Gillian’s Island is both a water theme park and a miniature adventure golf course, with a variety of slides, rides and water activities to be enjoyed by all ages. Begin by cooling off with a ride on the Shotgun Falls, a 6-foot slide into a 10-foot pool. For the more adventurous, the Serpentine Slides are said to be among the fastest body slides in the area. The Skypond Journey Tube Slide offers tube sliding through a number of curves and corkscrews into the 15-foot, elevated Skypond. From here, slide down the Giant Gang Slide into the Activity Pool.
In addition to the aforementioned “big” slides, Gillian’s Island offers plenty of activities for younger or less adventurous patrons. Cruise the Lazy River on a tube raft, or hang out in Li’l Bucs Bay, an 18,000-square-foot water spraying children’s playground. Visitors can take a lunch break at the Gillian’s Island Grille, or search for souvenirs at the Island Sundry Shop. Gillian’s is also home to an award-winning mini-golf course, with a variety of challenging holes, beautiful waterfalls, hand-carved rockwork, and scenic landscaping. |
