Wheaton Village is a family-friendly attraction that brings visitors back to an historic lifestyle, with a strong emphasis on arts and crafts. Within the village are a variety of different attractions to entice and educate visitors as they stroll the grounds. Highlights include the Creative Glass Center of America, Crafts and Trades Row, Down Jersey Folk Life Center, T.C. Wheaton Factory, The Tinsmith Shop, the 1876 Centre Grove Schoolhouse, and the 1863 C.P. Huntington Train.
Wheaton Village also features the Museum of American Glass, the largest museum in the country devoted to preserving the history of glass made in the United States. More than 6,500 pieces are showcased, including functional and decorative pieces from different periods and contemporary art sculpture, as well as glass bottles, uranium glass, paperweights and much more. |
